I’ve been wondering just how our media would get around to explaining just how it is that crime rates are plummeting. Take here in LA as an example. it seems the murder rate is the lowest it has been in 20 years. It dropped from just over 400 murders in 2024 to just over 200 in 2025. Other crimes are following suit. Robberies are down, assaults are down, car jacking is down. And on top of all this, the LAPD is understaffed.
Of course, in the page one article in the LA Times, there was no mention of any reason. The only comment by herhonner the mayor was that police shootings were up and omg what can we do about that.
Since the most probable reason for the plunge in crime doesn’t fit the media agenda, they won’t mention it.
It is possible that crime is down because there are fewer criminals on the street? The Feds have been focused on LA and have been arresting criminal illegals and deporting them. It’s hard to commit a crime from a thousand miles away. Hundreds if not thousands of hard core gang members and criminals of all types, including rapists, murderers, pedophiles, and those involved in domestic violence, have been arrested and sent back to their homeland. And guess what, the crime rate has plummeted.
You will not read about this reason nor will you hear about it on TV. You can just revel in the knowledge that you are safer than you have been in years. And who is to thank for that? You know as well as I do.
